Unopiù’s raw materials are selected for their quality, durability, and their resistance to extreme weather conditions.
Fully eco-sustainable “A Grade” quality teak from Indonesia. Teak wood has a warm and beautiful surface grain and excellent physical characteristics. It is a robust, waterproof wood, resistant to salty conditions and the elements. Unopiù uses extremely strong teak from Indonesian forests, from certified, guaranteed, government-controlled plantations, where each tree cut is replaced by new ones.
Sapelli mahogany is an incredibly solid and compact material used for fine furniture, luxury flooring and musical instruments. It is resistant to climatic conditions, suitable to the most demanding uses.
Unopiù uses top quality nordic pine for it’s structures. The wood is resistant and strong and incredibly immune to insect attacks, mould, fungus and the elements.
Iroko is a durable wood, resistant to distortion and extreme conditions. It is highly resistant to water
and humidity. Its iridescent reflections are remarkable. The chromatic nature ranges from a yellow with shades of gold, to yellow brown, and becomes elegant with light and dark variations with age.
Peperino is an ancient stone with a volcanic origin found in central Italy. It is durable and is especially weather resistant. The peperino surface by Unopiù is waterproofed.
Unopiù introduced an ecological high performance handwoven polyolefin cord, that is resistance to extreme weather. It offers softness and the durability of synthetic textiles. Unopiù offers many colour options with incredible details and finishes.
Unopiù patented WaProLace® fibre, is durable outdoors, resistant to extreme winter conditions and maintains its colour and characteristics under rainy, salty, chlorine, mould, parasite, fungal, bacterial and sun cream conditions. Biodegradable and recyclable; WaProLace® is light, tactile, easy to clean, antistatic, water and stain resistant.
Unopiù’s leather uses an ancient Tuscan tradition of “vegetable tanning” with the use of tree tannins. This technique gives the leather inimitable and natural traits. The “bottalatura” technique creates a soft and silky leather. Tuscan artists outstanding hand stitching, finishes the product with amazing design details.
Unopiù’s range of textiles are resistant to sunlight and different weather conditions. 100% acrylic fabrics, solution dyed with stainproof and mould proof fibres. It is soft to the touch, waterproof and easy to clean.
Iron and Steel
Unopiù’s iron furniture is handmade, hand forged and is extremely durable.
Aluminium guarantees protection from corrosion and requires little maintenance for years.
Unopiù’s new velluto fabric is ecological, weather, light-resistant, and flameproof. A unique line with a collection of cushionware for sofas, armchairs and sun loungers. Warm and soft, 70% of the thread comes from PET recycled bottles.
