The cultural program at Salone del Mobile 2024 promises an immersive journey filled with experimentation and insightful analysis. Three captivating installations take center stage throughout the event.
“Interiors by David Lynch: A Thinking Room” (Pavilions 5-7) offers a unique exploration into the relationship between interior spaces and personal introspection. Designed by renowned filmmaker David Lynch, this installation features mirrored “thought rooms” that symbolize the connection between our surroundings and inner selves.
“Under the Surface” (Pavilion 10) invites visitors to contemplate our relationship with water through an immersive experience. Created by Emiliano Ponzi, Accurat, and Design Group Italia, this installation showcases the environmental impact of water consumption and highlights advancements in water conservation in bathroom furnishings.
EuroCucina’s centerpiece is a stage hosting six international food magazines, presenting innovative perspectives on food design. Titled “All You Have Ever Wanted to Know About Food Design in Six Performances,” these projects combine reflections, exhibitions, talks, and taste experiences to explore the intersection of food and design.
Additionally, the program features talks and round tables curated by Annalisa Rosso, bringing together influential figures such as Pritzker Prize winner Francis Kéré and architect John Pawson. The Salone del Mobile Library, designed by Formafantasma, and the Corraini Mobile Bookshop offer a diverse selection of international titles, adding a literary dimension to the event’s cultural offerings.
